I just watched episode 1 and its really not very exciting.

Does it pick up later? I really dont want to waste my time.

Ill have to check that out, since we are on the anime subjecy I think the best series I have ever seen is Samurai Champloo, just amazing action and story, they only made like 18 episodes because of content issues, but its coming back Jan 2005!!!
