I took of the front end, doors and hatch so I can spray my jams Lamborghini candy orange. Oh yea, and my doors fell off the sawhorses onto the concrete somehow while I was working too.

What kind of paint is that and what color is that. It looks similar to the color that I was wanting to do on my car. It's looking real good.
It's Arancio Atlas candy orange from 2003 Lamborghini Murciaglo's. It's originally a PPG color, but the painter I'm working with likes to use Sikkens brand paint better, so he just mixed the same color in Sikkens paint and gave me some for the jams.
This is what gave me the idea for the hood:

RX-7 Hood

That is a sweet hood. Much props on the custom work, bro. Do you have any tips, on painting a car, for amateurs? Something that you might have over looked and had to go back on or any warnings or things we should concider before painting?
Hmm.. good question. Patience is the key to any paint job. It's so easy to want to skip steps or put another coat of paint on before it's ready. If you do that, you will get runs. After you spray a coat of paint, you have to wait till it flashes off. That means wait till it loses it's glossiness. Besides looking at it to see, you can also put your finger in the paint that got on the masking paper. If it's sticky then it's ready for another coat. If it's still wet, wait.

Also, 30 light coats of paint are better than 2 heavy coats. And spray at a relatively high pressure. My primer coat came out really rough and dry. It was like sand paper. The reason was that I was spraying it on at like 25psi. Spray at least at 50psi. You can just spray onto you masking paper and adjust the gun to spray where the paint looks real glossy. If it's real rough then you've got too low of pressure.

Hmm.. and if your spraying a metallic color, the metallic likes to kinda bunch up together in certain areas. That makes it where you metallic is not very even, but very splotchy. If that happens pull your spray gun away from the car about 2 feet and just spray a nice dry coat. that will even it all back out.

That's all i can think of for now.
