does anyone know the wattage on the gauge globes? the three big ones.. Because today I bought some bulb covers and they say "recommended for instrument and interior globes only [5 watt max]" but when I had them on, after about 5 minutes of turning my lights on, i smelt burning rubber (well technically silicone) and some faint smoke was coming from the gauge. found out the covers couldnt take the heat.. >>

idk but if you want to change the color of your gauge lights why not just get whole new bulbs? i think it looks a lot better than just putting new covers on.

get type 146 i think it is. wal mart has tons of different colors

i tried that before but the blue bulbs i got werent blue, they were blue tinted but the light was 98% white. the covers worked a lot better

you could try buying a translucent spray paint, an spray them..
