I was wondering if putting a FMIC on a non turbo engine would add any hp at all. I've only seen ICs on turboed cars, but why would they not cool the air more on a N/A car as well?

just pack ice around your TB. it adds like 20 hp.
Former: 96 GT 5 speed(i/p/e)Fate-rear ended by mack truck00 GTS 6 speed(i/ Bored TB 63mm - 68.5mm w/ butterfly/ Ported IM/ IMG/ PFC/ Commander/ datalogit/ Ported & heat wrapped Header/ Decat/ UEGO/)193FWHP 14.2(1/4mi) @98mph, 2.12 60ft (just intake, unbolted Exhaust, and gutted)Fate-side swipped by 18 wheeler at 75mph.Next: maybe an elise
no. a F/I FORCES the air past the IC. I'm sure you've heard that IC's "add turbo lag," well, it's the same thing on an NA; except that without forced induction the lag is actually noticable; and you lose any gains you would have gotten with cooler air.
turbo'd engines push pressurized and heated air through the intercooler (if you dont know a turbo heats up the air significantly when it pressurizes it), it is nowhere close to ambient temp. On an NA engine all you are taking into the engine is ambient air...so an intercooler will only hurt performance.
what're you guys talkin about?
it adds crazy HP, and you get that awesome BOV sound.
i'm gonna do this as soon as i find one for a good price. then i can run with the big boys!
