Basically wondering if I can get rid of the fuel cutoff with WOT doing 117mph.. if I let off the gas for a split second and slam it again.. I can get the car over.. the most I have gotten the car to was 127mph (atleast when I finally looked down)...But I think closer towards 130 is where the Celica's actual limit is...Does anyone know how to get rid of the fuel cut off? If so..PLEASE POST!! Governors suck!!

your fuel cutoff is 117? i hit 125 the other day and i still wasnt pushing the car to hard.

Dont do it too often and be careful....most people who blow their engines do it just like that, by sustaining speeds that are faster than the powertrain was designed for. Fuel cutoff is also meant to protect the engine from such things, keep that in mind...

I mean, revving to almost redline on an occasional shift now and then to get some distance out of your gears wont hurt a healthy engine, but sustaining over 100 in our Celicas (as with any other car) will do a number on your engine. As far as eliminating the governor, I'm almost positive theres ignition units out there that do away with the governor, so thats one possibility. But again, I wouldnt reccomend it if you dont have a bomb-proof engine that could hold that kind of abuse. >>
