For the past couple of months, I've noticed a squeaking noise whenever I engage and disengage the clutch. I've only been able to notice it while idling. It doesn't always happen, but more often than not. Whether or not it does it while driving is a different story, I can't hear it over the sound of my engine.

I have the same problem. It can get pretty annoying

Sometimes its real loud, and other times I cant even hear it, but everything still works perfectly fine for me anyway. I'm guessing its just an old bushing or something.

i thought that could be it because i have the same problem and my clutch is pretty worn. when i replace it it will be replaced as well so i'm not sweatin it

So is there anything we can do to fix this?

when i changed my clutch i couldnt find the right throw out bearing....anywhere....turns out i have a tranny from a camry and the bearing is slightly bigger than our celis

but yeah that noise should be the throw out bearing and its long and tedious to change

I had this problem on two occasions, first was sourced to the pedal lever
mechanism (usually a common feature on imported vehicles which are exposed
to the sea air on the boat). A good can of WD40 and lots of elbow grease eventually will get rid of the noise. The other cause where the noise comes
from the engine bay will usually be due to the clutch slave cylinder.
Follow the clutch fluid resevoir to the first cylinder (master) then follow
the fluid line to the slave cylinder near the front of the engine, need a good
torchlight to see this. You may have to take any relay boxes etc to get
your arms down into that area. Get someone to pump the clutch pedal and
at the output end of the slave cylinder there is a rubber boot (the cylinder has a rod which moves an arm).Get your WD40 again and spray generously at the
point the rod moves in and out of the slave cylinder.When the noise subsides just
replace the boot and thats it. Hope this helps,

I don't think it's from any of my parts being worn. I just had the clutch, throwout bearing, and pressure plate replaced about a year ago. Maybe when I'm not so lazy I'll dig a hole, fill it with WD40, and drive my car into it.

i have the same problem once in awhile also it comes and it goes.

before u pull the transmission try replacing all the bushings on the pedal, iv'e replaced hundreds of bushings because of a squeaky clutch.

ya i have the same problem, but it sounds like its coming from down at the pedals, not in the back of my car, i can also feel some resistance... mine is definatly the bushings
