Apexi N1 Exhaust - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #1545 22 posts Started by liquidnate5000
I was thinking about ordering a power package from Apexi:
Super AFC Digital $351.20
Power intake filter $79.20
N1 Series Catback Exhaust $448.00
N1 Super Silencer $44.20
oh and an Apexi T-Shirt for 19.95 >wink.gif>

Anyway it seems like a really good package, but the N1 Exhaust system is listed as being good only for 2000+ model Celicas. I was wondering if anyone had actually attempted to install one of these things and if so, what kind of extra work did it entail? Or will the exhaust system simply not work at all?
If anyone has some info, please get back to me on it.

I would bet that a good mffler shop could get it on there for you. They can do anything.

yes, they could install it, but by the time they are done, it won't really be the apexi exhaust anymore. i would guess that it won't fit at all, as the 6th gen and 7th gen suspensions are completely different, and the 6th gen exhaust path is a tad unusual. the 7th gen parts do NOT fit on 6th gens. the intake won't fit, the exhaust won't, the headers won't, etc. it's a different car.

1994 Lexus ES3001989 Supra Turbo1990 RHD ST185RC - JDM Spec
And that is why the 7gc is crap!
yes, the 7th gens are crap! >frown.gif>

I've got the N1 Muffler on my car..but after that i dont think anything else of that sort fits from the 7th gen.
I bet you could get the shift knob to fit from a 7gc. >biggrin.gif>
You can get a 7gc steering wheel to fit also. >biggrin.gif>
That's alot of work if you've never done it before.
I would love to do that. I hate our wheels!
Same here.
That's like the only thing that the 7gc has that i would put in my car.
just buy the universal N1 and have a exhaust shop run the piping for you... does it really matter if the piping is from apexi??

piping is all the same right, is the N1 mandrel bent? or whatever however you say it

You know what you should do, well first of all you should go

to your local Toyota/Lexus dealer and get a Special Edition

IS-300 Chromed Muffler, and then go to your local muffler shop,

put it on, then go to Summit Racing and get A1 Backfire kit which

fits in on the left side of the muffler. So what this does is that

each time you rev up ur car there would be freaken FLAMES

comming out if.... A GOD DAMN FREAK SHOW...

My friend just put it on a 2002 Altima 3.5SE (240hp), IT IS DOPE....
Nono, flames belong on american muscle cars and major race cars. Not sport compacts. Also, why not get the $700 TRD muffler? : )
hmmmm big flame within a foot of the gas tank..... sounds really stupid...reminds me of farting on a lighter and it suckin back in - saw a video of that once..GOD was it GROSS!!!

BTW if you really want to hook flames up just drill a hole in you muffler at the bottom of the tip and insert a spark plug and attach a power wire to it and hook it up to a switch inside ur car and that works just as good as that kit and a WHOLE lot cheaper - whats what the old hotrodders used to do

Yea, the spark plug way will work on EFI. I don't recomend it, but whatever i guess. Just send me a notice of when your funeral is when you blow yourself up.
