Hi guys, I just received my Autometer A/F ratio but I've something that I don't understand.....
There are 3 wires:
BLACK: to ground
RED: to +
PURPLE: to oxygen sensor.
my question is:
In my 7AFE, the oxygen sensor is tho one that's originally placed in the filter box?!?!?!?
If not, which is????
Let me know asap!!!!=)=)=)
Thanks
Edo
NONO, not the one in the box. that's air temp. you want the O2 sensor, connecting to the tail pipe. there are two: one on the header in front, one on the pipe behind the engine.
I was under the assumption that the purple wire connected to a pin in the ecu near your glovebox, but maybe I'm mistaken.
New Toyota project coming soon...
did you get through with your question?

You may need your manual for this.
Normally, the catalytic convertor in the middle of the car or some where around there have a little sensor with 1 or more wires sticking out of it.
The most I see have one, which is only need.
You can connect your A/F meter to that wire.

Thanks West, I'll check for this and I'll let you know.
Do you know where I can find a diagram of my ECU? (7AFE)
You really do not need to attach the wire onto the CPU. It can be attach anyway along the the oxygen sensor.
Either way, use google.com to do a search for it.

Question:
Hi
Just few queries on the A/F meter how hard was the install, and how has it helped with your performance upgrades.
Do you need a fuel regulator for adjusting fuel delivery in addition to the meter?
Anyhow cheers in advance for any info.
Answer:
I am pass the A/f meter right now. it is not that accurate as wide open throttles and when the vehicle have just started. Either way, the better A/F meters start to run you over $300 like the motec, autronics and so on.
Ok.
The A/F helps you to run the right fuel mixture for complete combustion.
Also, it helps you to see how certain changes like exhaust and air filter will change your a/f. This also includes setting your fuel regulator.
An Adjustable Fuel Regulator W/ Fuel Pressure meter built on or separate is very good to have for fuel pressure records and for your calculation for new injectors when it is time to replce them.
