When ever I go over a bump some rattles. Idunno if its the trunk springs or anything? I still have the plastic cardboard covering the spare tire as well. Also I have my subs in my coupe. When I press down on the trunk the rattling stops. So I wanted to know if there was a way to make the trunk suction down tighter?
Rattling in Trunk - 6G Celicas Forums
Check for extra stuff that's fallen down into your spare tire well. Last night I found four bolts and a coulpe allen wrenches that had been the cause of some of my rattling.
Also, to get the trunk lid to suction down tighter, you may be able to wrap a piece of electrical tape around the metal trunk latch...just make sure it's really thin. I've heard that this works well in some cars, but I've never tried it. What I did to eliminate rattles was put about 4-6 layers of sound deadener on the trunk lid. >

New Toyota project coming soon...
I THINK there are adjusters you can turn, like the hood. It would make a tighter fit.
