i'm going to get my car re-painted next week (great deal by the way) and i've got the invader front and z-glide rear

is there anyway or anything you guys suggest for avoiding scraping the front?? i was looking at possibly one of those carbon fiber under-lips...those do work fairly well...but are really expensive

one of my friends suggested possibly using some of that spray on bed liner stuff for trucks

and DONT say something like "avoid potholes" or "drive slowly" or "dont go over bumps" or any other smart a** comments such as these....i'm not in the mood

the under lip wont really keep u from scraping...they have those in fiberglass and carbonfiber...so that would either need to be painted but it would still mess that up if u scrape...if you have the money and time i would go air ride if u really wanted to avoid it all together...just bump it up when going over bumps or round potholes and steep entrances and drop it back down when u get on clear road

I think you should avoid potholes,drive slowly and don't go over bumps. ahaha. Anyways,there is nothing you can do. I have the same kit on my car and it scrapes in certain areas..just make sure you give it enough gas to get over some obsticles and make sure you don't give it too much in certain areas.

The front end is so far in front of the wheels that anything midly steep will cause you to scrape. Your going to need to take anything other than flat at an angle. Same with speed bumps, go in at an angle. Unles they're too high then you avoid them altogether.

I live on a road called "Mountain View", so its bad news already. I cant make right hand turns outta my road its just simply impossible. The invader and such kits really arent for daily driving.

You could always cut off some of the bottom of the kit and modify it differently using fiberglass, but that would be quite a bit of work.

you can get and aluminm(sp) underlip.. you can go to hardware store and have them cut it for you.. and for around 3 bucks you have disposable protection

id have to agree with the take things that are steep at an angle... the entrance to my apartment is steep, if you go straight out you scrape, but if you take it at an angle, you dont scrape...

something like what i think you wanted to hear though, i was thinking about buying thin sheets of aluminum and cutting them to fit underneath the kit so when it scrapes, it'll scrape the aluminum, not the fiberglass...

Thats what I did on my eclipse. I bolted a cut out of aluminum on the bottom with cables going into the grill of the car. Looked great and I never scraped my kit. The metal underneath didn't look that great, but no one can see that!

Unless u put somethin underneath ur kit, ur gonna scrape regardless of how careful u are. Ive scraped numerous amounts of time but i still love it. Also expect a lot of paint chips. I gotta get my front lip repainted. >>

I dont know if its worth all the trouble, if its an everyday driver..rain or snow all your work and money on it may go down the drain fast.
