Has anyone 3SGTE from MR2 swap in the Celica? - 6G Celicas Forums

Would it fit right in my GT Celica ?

Sold my Celica....
isn't it the same engine, just a few more electrical things
i think the only reason why someone whould get a MR2 would be because of the tranny, it can handle alot more than the gt, and can come with lsd

Well, this one doesnt have Tranny.

you should be fine, only thing is you need all the wiring. that engine should bolt right up.

The engine has all the parts with ecu and wiring, what about axels? can i use my stock axels

XXXMina has a 3rd Gen 3s from an MR2 in his, wiring is a lil different but shouldnt be that much harder. Plus, if u get the clip, you get the coveted MR2T tranny.

Solenoid resistor, fuel pump resistor, ignitor, map sensor, ignition coil, afm.

Perhaps MAP isnt the correct term, you need the Turbo Pressure sensor which reads manifold pressure. Its necessary, and is completley different than the AFM, which is all necessary.

The GT alternator will work, the a/c and p/s will work, you can make a braket from the GT to use with the alternator.
