Goodrich Braided Brake Line Kit - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #1347 27 posts Started by 3TST
I'm looking into changing my brake line hoses.
I believe Techna-fit make a set...
but what about Goodrich?
Anyone know where I can find out or where I can find part numbers?

Thanks
well, I think your problem is that it is called Goodridge, not goodrich
Oh b*gger! >frown.gif> >frown.gif>
Just found out that importdirectusa don't ship internationally.

Can anyone help me out here. >bowdown.gif>

I can't get them here in France or from the UK.

whoh, I wasn't trying to make fun of you there. If it seemed that way, I am sorry, I was just pointing out a mistake to help you search for it better. Anyway, most of these places on the internet have them in stock, you just have to call them up, but since you live in france, that may get be a problem. I would say go to a place that says they have a complete goodridge line, and call them up to order it.

Yer I guessed that - no apologies necessary.
Just felt a bit of a plonker with the wrong spelling >biggrin.gif>
The ONLY place I found them on the net that had them for a 94-99 ST was importdirectusa.

Any help is always welcome.
here, try these places...

Thanks for the info.. >smile.gif>
I have just one problem.
I spoke to Goodridge distributors in both France and the UK who deal with Goodridge direct who explained to me that the kits are actaully made up by outside contractors.
They both had the Goodridge parts list and guess what ?
Yer! Would you believe it that Goodridge do not actually list the brake line kit for the ST. >mad.gif>
So, no Goodridge part number, no brake line kit. >frown.gif>
Wouldn't the brake lines for a ST and GT be the same? Well minus the fact that the GT has rear discs, but if you do a conversion then there is no prob and your good as goo

Well I would of thought so.

Problem is when I looked on the importdirectusa site they had a listing for the GT and the ST and the numbers were different. >confused.gif>

BTW: My 97 ST has discs all round as standard >biggrin.gif>

Well then someone must have been nice and did the conversion for you, you luck basterd!!! >mad.gif> >mad.gif> >biggrin.gif>

But about the importdirectusa site, i bet they are different #s cause the ST comes with 2 wires and the GT comes with 4 wires.
... i didnt think they sold STs anywhere but americas >confused.gif> >confused.gif>

Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them allNo but I don't buy itLike anything you do, as anyone you areCause I'm...Ten Speed, of God's Blood & Burial
well in canada they have the GT and GT-s for celicas. Maybe they have a ST also, but i would assume since the GT-s is suppost to represent the GT for the USA then the GT up there would be our ST.
In France we basically had 2 6GC models:
- GT 2.0L with 3S-GE (175hp)
- ST 1.8L with 7A-FE (115hp)
(...and 2 versions for each: 94-96 and 97-99)
No coupe and no convertible >frown.gif>
If you want to know the similarities/differences, I've just found my original brochure which has the complete spec. for the 97-99 GT and ST.

EDIT: BTW: The 97-99 ST model came with discs all round as standard. >biggrin.gif>

Well just for those with a 97-99 6gc with rear discs.
If you plan on gettin cross drilled rotors or something like that for the rear you will have to get the one's for a GT since they are the same. If you order them for a ST you will only get the 2 front.
Absolutely!
...currently up on eBay you have 2 auctions:
1. Mastergrade - 4 Brembo discs, front and rear for GT & ST ($199).
2. Mastergrade - 2 Brembo discs front for ST ($110).

BTW: Both NEVERSTOP and I have got the 4 Brembo discs and we're happy. >biggrin.gif>
BTW:
I'm still trying to find somewhere that does the Goodrige Brake Hose kit and ships internationally.
Nippon Power
I don't know if they will ship internationally, but they have g-stop hoses for the celica. But... It says that vert model cars use the same hoses as hatchbacks from similar years, that is a difference between coupes and hatches. So I would think that a brakeline for any celica of similar year should fit with any other type. as long as it is FWD. Check first though
Thanks for the link...
I've sent them an e-mail.
Fingers crossed.

Now there's a thought!
I was going to paint my calipers red to match the car, but to have the calipers and discs powered coated red....cool!

Look forward to seeing the pics.

Just checking with them which kit I need:
Product number: #21076 or #21078.
What the hell is NipponPower?
Oh, it's just another "rare" site that specializes in hondas.
