Well first off You can tell them to go take there hampstered powered engines and go shove it. Secondly, Has Honda ever competed in a WRC? NO, has Toyota? Yes and won many a races with the celica. Why is that you ask, Well first of all Toyota built this kick ass engine called the 3SGTE, which they then proceded to put in the celica. Now this engine is so much more powerfull than anything Honda has ever produced for there street cars. But the only problem with this engine is that Toyota only put them in the GT-4 celicas, and then only sold so many over here in the states up untill 1993. Then they go on and put a economy engine in the celica. Granted that there not the most powerful engines that Toyota could of put in them, but were stuck with them. Unless you swap it out for one that Toyota should of put in like the 3SGE, 4AGE, 4AGZE, 3SGTE. Now on to the handleing side of our cars. They handle like a dream. Much better than most Honda's do right off the dealership lot. Granted that it also helps that the driver knows what he's doing. The handleing only gets better when you upgrade it with better stuff. The last thing you can tell them is that there are few celica's out there and not every little kid has one. So you should feel special that you have one.

Say, "you all have hondas, I'm just thinking outside the box."
..just tell them to get some altezzas and shut the F up.
or just tell them that honda's are outdone and too easy...and that they are good -- if if you want to run 16's the rest of your life.. >

Just tell them too keep talking. then go get and engine swap if you want if not cool. then when they are talk about how their cars can blow you off then line tell them " yea nice thats good for you." Then go to were all the girls are and just stand next to your car and call a girl over. and when all the girls are asking you for a ride in you celica, go tell your boys "Honda Power Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha" "Toyota can get me a girl in 9.7 seconds." or just race them on a track the had a lot of s curves.

Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...Full custom Projects from restoration to performance builds<<<<<< DCw / JDMart >>>>>>>
Honda engines are torqueless. If you want to rev to 7000rpm everytime to get some decent power, go drive a honda.
what about the new celicas those are kinda torqueless, i drove one and no power till 5.5k but there hella fun to drive >
> i cant wait to hit thim with all this stuff keep it comin
Honda's are good cars, they just weren't meant to be fast with exception of prelude and s2000.
It's its cursed looks i tell ya...

Yes the exhaust camshaft is driven by the intake camshaft.. which I thing is alot better setup than the dual cam gears setup... or chances for the timing to get screwed up
99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =)
I was thinking the same thing. Does that mean we just get -a- adjustable cam gear?(7afe)
Honda Boys only live in the world of DOHC and SOHC, We Toyotas go straight from SOHC to QOHC. Have you ever seen a Quad Cam v6 Honda engine??---NO!
You only see the CrapTec in all of Hondas!

Honda engine technology is far superior to Toyota's engine technology in many ways...especially when it comes to older engines...when the '92-'95 Civic was produced, DOHC VTEC was far better than Toyota's VVT. Honda's new K-series motors seriously rock...they're powerful from the factory and respond amazingly well to bolt-ons. Honda trannies have always felt way better to me than the Toyotas I've driven.
But if you want some random facts...ask them how much individual throttle bodies cost for their cars. Then tell them you can buy an awesome Toyota engine(AE101 4A-GE) that comes stock with them for $500.
Umm...I'm out of ideas. Even Honda's B16A that's been around for over a decade outshines a lot of Toyota's new engines in so many aspects. The K-series rock. You can tell them your car is unique though.
Edit: I just realized after posting that this thread is more than two years old...there's no need to bump 2+ year old threads with inaccurate information. There ARE Toyota DOHC engines...you don't go straight from SOHC to DOHC...what's a quad cam engine anyway?

ok, come on guys, lets get real.
First honda

First toyota in US

Who can argue?

Just make alittle slice in their timing belts when they are showing off those awesome honda powerplants. Then when their valves get bent after the belt breaks say "shoulda bought a toyota"
do your research get real knowledge otherwise you just look bad
and i mean get this:
nissan motorsports -NIMO
toyota motorsports- TOMO
honda motorsports- HOMO

as coomer said about honda transmissions - they shift better and smoother, the one thing i like is that toyota's don't lose as many rpm's when you shift gears... i like both pretty much equally, the only reason i like toyota a little more is because it's a little more unique. there's virtually nothing wrong with honda's at all, they have craploads of potential, they look good, they're very reliable, etc. Sure they don't have a lot of torque.... so? Slap a turbo on them and they can kick your ass. Doesn't cost a whole lot either... i like both, enough said >

and still homo :-D...
and VTEC- remind them Nissans 300zx has had the same technology since the early 90's, where their valves stay open longer at higher RPMs. Then ask about street bikes with their powerbands that do the same thing too... And then ask why you never see a fairlady or a hyabusa with a forsaken vtech sticker on it..
