black or white ONLY - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #13235 23 posts Started by Ghost
I don't like red on the outside and want a white/black custom interior, so what is better in most respects from people's experience.

white or black
which shows dirt more
which is easier to clean (doesn't show wipe marks)
attracts the eye and shows off a kit well
doesn't show scratches as bad

Anyone with experience with cars of these colors please reply.
white is better by far in those mentioned aspects.

i guess if i could change my red exterior i would go black outside with white inside. if that helps
black is the worst colour imaginable to keep clean, and looking good. all scratches show, and its hell to polish. it looks awesome if its done right though
White is beast my friend.
black shows dirt more
white is easier to clean but black looks better shiny
black shows scratches mo compared to white

oh btw i've had white then black 6gc >smile.gif>
Black doesn't show details of a kit as well.

Why not go for half and half. You can use silver or gray - both of these are perfect for the attributes you are trying to get. Also they go well with dark or crome rims - just not machine finish.
common guys they both show dirt just about the same lol

As for washing them, white is easier to wash...it doesnt show water spots, streaks etc...

I love my black though wouldnt trade it! >biggrin.gif>
i'd say white....but im biased... >wink.gif>

Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City
You will see the deterioration on a white paint job easier than black.

I agree that surface dirt will show up more on a black car (to a point), but scratches and especially tarballs / rust specks show up bigtime on white. My paint looks perfect from 3m away but once you get up close you can see all the dodgy spots.

out side black or white.. is a good chose.. in side.. i would go with black.. just cause on a bright sunny day.. the sun glare can get dangours even with shades on..

Dirt shows bigger than ****, they are hard to keep clean, They are more attractive(personal opinion) and scratches it all depends.
