well last night i was driving home on the highway cruisin at 75 mph and i see a deer run right in front of car. i got it slowed down to about 35, 45 probably i really can't remember but i just remember the very loud pop of the air bags and getting thrown into my seatbelt. thank god both me and my passenger were wearing our seatbelts i didn't even hit the air bag becuase of it but my passenger did. the worst part of it is i only have liability but i'm not going to sell it i'm going to fix it and now would be a great time to swap or turbo so i think i'm going to get a loan and start getting parts. the frame doesnt seem like it got bent the pillars are okay and the doors are still linde up so i think its just some front radiator supports and brackets along with radiatior and some stuff behind it.

i know venus auto has clips but who else has them.

damn thank god you are ok. the car looks like its in really bad shape. if i were u id get it towed to a body shop and see what they say about it.

btw, what size rims and tires are those, they look like a perfect size for the celica.

It looks good, with a front clip you'd probably have it working like new.. but..

I think I see unibody frame damage.

does anyone know if the front radiator supports for the 5th gen would be the same because if i get a front clip for the 3s those could come in handy

the rims are 17 inch enkei zr1 with proxes tires they handled great i really loved the way it cornered.

There doesnt seem to be frame damage. i dont think a dear can cause unibody frame damage to a car.. You got to remember our unibodys are design to withstand crashes with another car, hitting a dear isnt exacly a car.

I wouldnt try to put a 5th gen radiator support on. I would go with a genuine toyota part with this, cuz if you want your hood to line up with your fender/bumber it relys on this part of the car.


If you report this to your insurance they will definately salvage your car because of the airbags. Its better to fix it your self..

well i don't have insurance only liability so they aren't involved. and i probably wont replace the airbags just get a new steering wheel and replace the cover. i'm just hoping theres no frame damage i really loved that car.

ya the decision is in. its going to get fixed new radiator, ac, mounts all sorts of random stuff, i need a new hood. new front bumper
what ever happened to that group by on a hood.

total my body guy said it would run 2500 to 3000 but thats cheaper thatn buying a new car and isn't bad considering.

That sucks about your car, it looked nice before. Yeah, just the the night some guy backed into my left front corner doing quite a bit of damage to my car and only put a little scratch and dent in his bumper.

Hope everything works out with your car.

sorry to hear about the bad new.. but you and your passanger are both ok.. now get to fixing up your celi.. bring her back from the dead.. and yea get all new parts for the front if you can... that way you will really know if there is any frame damage..

i just ordered a combat kit that will be molded in like the last kit. and i also oredered some projectors today i;m really pumped to see them. the new look will be hot.

one thing to keep in mind... well i hope your gunna keep the car until it blows up.. just cause its gunna be hard selling it, after a wreck like that.

dang, that deer owned your car, glad to hear that you where not hurt. hope that everything works out for you, and your back drivin the celica in no time. I recommend getting full coverage (if its affordable) I cant tell you how much that helped me when my civic was owned buy a new volvo. that is where I got the money to buy my celica.
