Topic #1175 10 posts Started by all4sho94st
ok this person in my class heard from a dealership guy that there is a rwd celica from 2000+ if im correct there isnt any but i may be wrong. So if any one has any info on this let me know. I know im right.
YEAH!!! BULL SKIT....... >confused.gif> ......hehehe....

I really dont think that theres a rwd celica, i dont think it would make much sense to manufacture one itd only drive up the price with not much of a benefit, so i would say youre right.

3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting.
actually the old skoo ones use to be rwd...but as for the 2000+ they are FWD
My 96 celica is RWD/RWS!!! Honest

The standard trim includes:
- 5 reverse gears and 1 forward gear
- rear mounted engine
- 4 backwards facing seats
- 4 white round rear lights and red/orange front lights
it sad but toyota is not going to make there celica (U.S. vr) RWD cause the would lose a big part of the people that buy the car.

I really don't know how you would make a new celica RWD. A custom made trans maybe?

yeah i was looking into that cuz im looking for a rwd car that's toyota so far I think it was 3rd gen celis have rwd .... not sure tho
I heard of some Programmable ECU's that let you program how much power goes to the front or rear drive wheels. So if you had a gt-4 you could make it like 15/85. 15% front and 85% rear. There is only one car that I have heard of doing that. The Subaru WRX. And also the lowest that you can go is 5 or 10 percent to each.

But also since GT-4's and fwd and rwd you could possibly do something to change the tranny so that it is just RWD. But like everyone said that would be a custom job. I doubt the celica will ever be RWD. A lot of poeple out there think that FWD cars are safer to drive in snow and rain. And they are in my opinion. It's just that RWD cars are funner to drive in those elements.
