Could my celica st run with or beat a newer Oldsmobile Alero? I think the alero is v6 but the kid didnt seem to know what he was talking about. If it was a v6 it has 170hp and weighs as much as my dads logging truck >> . Anyways this kid is really starting to piss me off and is telling me how fast his car is, he wants to race but im a little sceptical becasue i feel that my car, along with all others in my school, are slow. any thoghts and insight would be great.

I got beat by a car length by a V6 Alero in the 1/4 mile back when my car was bone stock. I didn't even have my first of my three exhaust setups on the car yet. It was so sad...getting beaten by an Oldsmobile. >>

Yep, GM v6's are pieces of sh*t. I owned a V6 Beretta once. Blew it up smoking a Civic boy. But the Alero would SPANK you. It's the same car as a Grand AM.

i wouldn't say gm v6s are crap the series 2 engine that comes in the buicks pontiacs and other gm vehicles since the 80s is a good engine my mom has two cars with that engine one with it one over 250000 on odometer and still runnin strong.
