ok real stupid question, I have the 7afe is there a tranny dipstick?

Only if its an automatic. 5-speeds have a fill plug approx 1/2 way up on the front side of the trans. fill til it starts to run out. 75W90 (preferably synthetic)

exactly where is it, because in front of my trannt across from the radiator is a big nut sorta chrome, would that be it???? its not half way up tho its about a bit more than a 1/4 up

Its parallel to the ground. About the size of a 1/2 dollar.

Your tranny dipstick should be near your transmission. Your tranny dipstick has a t-shaped handle. Your oil dipstick has an o-shaped handle. You transmission fluid should be bright pinkish color.
