I went to a different city this past weekend, and of course had to fill up on gas. Right as I was leaving the attendent came out and asked me what generation Integra I had. I told him it was a Celica and he really didn't know what one was. However, he did tell me to purchase an Integra because those are "bada.ss cars."

Just another reason for the 3SGTE or 5SFTE. Everyone would know what a Celica is then. At least what the a.ss end looks like.

I showed the Veilside kit to a couple of my friends last year in HS & this kid that owns a integra came up and told me thats the kit he was getting for his car. >>

There's nothing wrong with Integs. They're good cars...

As for the person's comment about mistaking your car for an Integra and not knowing what a Celica is... don't take it to heart man. Just be thankful that you have a car that is NOT VERY COMMON. Turn those negatives into positives. >>

Integras are nice cars. I just hope they dont turn into what did civics did(overused). Only thing that integra and celica have in common are the headlights. There not even that similar too. My brother gets this one all the time, "is that a supra"? lol...At the beach, we rode thru the campground, people are like woah man look at the supra. thats bad A**,lmfao. Is it me or do people need to get more "knowledge" of cars?

Civics are more affordable, are pretty reliable and look at all the aftermarket parts you can get.

Dare I say it...I owned a Civic 1.5i crx - great little car. >>
but then I was 20 odd.
However, to redeem myself, and being a little bit older, I am the original owner of my ST.
First car I ever bought brand spanking new - no regrets and very proud. >>

Don't bash on other cars. It's the people that make the car look bad. It's almost like you say its a piece of **** because you don't have one. In no way is the Integra a POS. Car and Driver had it on the top in its category for like 2 years. It has its drawbacks too like small rear seats and bad insulation. Lots of road noise. I like the Celica because it has a lower stance and wider look. Not to mention the GT-4's. Hondas and Acuras common because it has a good reputation. People just don't know much about The Celicas. Having owned cars from both automakers, theyre both very reputable.

Just to add a little to every ones comments.. One reasons there arnt more celica's is because they wernt worth it. Thats it , in its class you could get the base inteas the st, but the integra comes stock with 145hp compard to our 115... more options stock, a better value, i like the wider look of the celi, an the larger head lights, but power an option wise, an integra would be better... those are some more reasons why integra's and civics are real popular, cheap easy, and a good value

CRX's and Integras are two of my favorite rides for honda. Why you ask, the CRX has UNLIMITED after market support. parts are cheap and **** its fun as hell to drive on a curvy road. integras same thing. the reason i got the celica was for the looks and handleing.

if i wanted a high horse power car i wouldve gotten a mustang SVT,done a pulley and basic bolts on and i would have a 400+ hp car.

so even though most people mistake my car for a integra from the front or supra from the side i dont get mad just tell them what it is and talk to the guy/girl. >>

yeah unlimited parts for 88+crx, No luck for me and my 1987 crx. Ive found 2 aftermarket body kits, im thinkin about getting the mugen style, but i also want to save for a celica. The celica will be worth it in the long run, i believe so.

On the better side, I always get asked if mine's the GT-4...because most people wouldn't know it's only available in europe and Japan...and I always tell them "Yeah wanna race?" and then laugh so they know im kidding...ugh...my celi's slow >>

id have to agree with most of the statements about hondas and stuff. they're not bad cars. a civic is a great little reliable car that has good gas mileage. its the owners that make them stupid. most of the rice cars you see are civics... with like the big aluminum wings and sheat... i dunno, i got a celica becuase everybody in my town has civics or eclipse's... i almost got an eclipse, i think they're great looking cars... id have to say IMO not too far behind a celica... but toyotas reliability pushed me to get the celica... that and theres no compitition to have the best one >>

to be COMPLETELY honest, wheni was looking for a new car, i was waiting for 2 things- either a celica GT coupe to go for sale, of if i could find a good condition 97+ honda prelude (non SH) stick for under 13,000 that wasnt abused... I wanted the prelude for its speed, and to a degree its quirky styling, but i still hate its interior, and the celica because i LOVE the way the coupe looks... obviously the celica won out, and i have NO regrets, even with a now blown head gasket... >>

Honda and Toyota both my great cars point blank.. if toyota would come out with a corolla coupe again (passeo) that had all the performance backing the civics has i bet that Interga board would be bitching about them too...

I think civics are way to common, there everywhere. And yet people who fix them up with the same ebay parts seem to think they have somthing original. somthing I will never get.
As for the integra/celica mix up, I dont see how you could confuse the two, but then again some poeple just dont know much about cars. same kinda thing happens to me, guys pull up in there fixed up civics and ask what kind of turbo I have, I dont know why they think I have a turbo, it dose not sound like it, or show any signs of it, but they do, I just assume they dont know what a turbo is, and think all people who fix up there cars put one, or two >> in. they just dont know the differance.

Well just for the record - i'm not bashing Honda's. I never said anything in my post that did. Actually, i didn't realize anyone would reply. But to state my story shortly, i'm just sick of everyone thinking that if the car looks good or has anything done to it, it must be a honda. True story- I had my Eclipse before the Ceilca and someone got me type-r badging for my car. I asked him why and he (who has seen my car all around for 1/2 year) told me that no one has a type-r prelude. PRELUDE! They look nothing alike. Granted I shaved my badging, but GOD - its a Eclipse. Plus it seems that all civic/integra owners think that if they add a wing on the back it adds 500 horse. I like Civics and Integras and planned on doing them justice by purchasing a B16 swapped EX in MN but it was a POS so I searched more and found my BEAUTIFUL Celica. I love my car. >>

I had my corolla mistaken for a civic before, but also had my corolla next to a girls corolla at work, same model, year, and everything, & my co-workers' sister thought my car was a different car than her sisters. so Casey said "He just washes his car" lol
