well i guess i have a preety good story, the other night at 1 i decided to go see a friend at the bowling alley well it was pretty dumb there i left with another friend who said he wanted to go racing well i didnt have anthing else to do so i was like ya i guess ill race ya. In wiscons there is hwy100 where all the racers basically go. anways when we get out there we stop at the gas station and some racers leave as we pull in. well we leave and my friend is driving a mazda dx i believe it was, well anyway we got to the light i had a buddy in my car and we wooped the mazdas ass big time. It was fun and he said that i should race this honda coming up well after finally getting stopped at a light we all went and i blew them both away and he stopped after getting to about 80mph well then i decdied to turn around at a light which is illegal(wooot) some more racers were coming back from way in front of us then. Well to make a long story short i beat another white honda untill the talon came in and it was awd turbo and it laid the law down on me twice. oh well it was turbo i took it off the line suprisingly though. later we went to this hotel and saw the popo cotper out looking for street races on 100 so we left. celica held its own against the race that. >biggrin.gif> >biggrin.gif>
Awesome, it'd be cool if you knew what the actual car was that the Mazda was...cuz DX is just a trim level of certain cars, but I'm guessing it was an older protege. Cool man, and yeah those DSM's suck! I have yet to beat an AWD turbo in my Celi, but can womp on them in my WRX.

Hey Akimbo,

Im really not trying to be an ass at all dude but is the fast and the furious coment nessicary? Seceriously. this is a quote ive learned to live by. "TO EACH THERE OWN" it means everyone does different things for fun. Just becasue u dont like or agree with it dont mean you have to dog others for doing so. Sorry if i am offending anyone with this but its just how i feel.

lol even though it is called highway 100 its not really, just a long stretch of road with a bunch of stop lights inbtween them. And yes it probably wasnt the smartest thing to do but i was like hell when was the last time i went street racing then i realized that is like about a year and i wasnt even driving. For the record if it wasnt risky then it wouldnt be worth doing it all and plus theres not much to do when your up at 1pm and your not 21 yet, at least in wisconsin. i dont know i could be wrong but it was fun needless to say.
Each to their own.
but above all...
IF YOU CAN'T BE GOOD, BE CAREFUL!

BTW: I love German autobahns!
w00t for dsm. my friend has a 1st gen talon tsi, and everytime he gets drunk i drive him around. things incredible. as soon as turbo spools in 3rd gear it feels lke my first. thats why you took him off the line, and he beat u in the long run.

hehe mr2oc bans any illegal automotive activity on their forums. its all deleted and removed and the person who posts it recieves a warning. constant disregard for the rule is grounds for being suspended and/or banned.

to each their own >tongue.gif>

I'm not a big fan of steet racing, but it is a rush. anyway, sometimes people just need to be put in there place, and there are no tracks open 24/7, so what can you do. Nice story though, always like to hear when a civic gets owned >tongue.gif>

[/QUOTE]HAHHAHAHAHAHA classic, i hope you get fined. street racing = retarted

i realize that yea, on the highway at 1AM its fairly controled because theres no traffic out, and atleast you are smart about that. but even on the highway theres **** that can happen or go wrong, just sayin its better to keep it on the track.

wut can happen on the highway at 1 am...have some fun geeze... lol >wink.gif>

my friends and i street race. With alot of planned and safe actions. we go to an old highway area called whites. it connects to hick towns. no one uses it. we get one car and park it at one end and make sure no one is coming and another car at the end of the strip we use. then flash the highs to go. i mean if ur gunna do it do it right. the closet track for me is NH like 4 hour drive. i went up there once and it rained so we couldnt even run it sucked.

as for like weaving through traffic. not to swift.

Akimbo, I agree that street racing is primarily stupid and unsafe and I respect that you don't like seeing street racing stories on this forum, but if you don't like them- just don't read them; don't comment on them. There's really no call for you to say the same thing in every street racing post.

<3 kuya

I guess I've just got this parental instinct kind of thing where I worry about people street racing. Most mature people look down on this act. In what way does this better you? Sorry. I hope we never have to come to 6gc.net and see a member post about a fellow member who lost their life in a race. It'd be such a waste. But ya, to each their own. I have more respect for itchy's style than just pulling up to a city street light and going, or a rural area. People do that here (way out in the country) for bike races, they sit at both ends of a long ass road and use walkie talkies.

No kuya, I like seeing his comments. Me <3 Akimbo. Haha >smile.gif> I'm just saying.. it's gonna continue, so I dont want to see Akimbo bust a gut over it :*(
when idiots do it and they arent even really street racing.

hot rodding (speeding down a highway trying to pass a car thats been passing you weaving in and out) is retarded, so is street racing of course but the civilian casualties and stuff are usually from things like that , not 2 cars running in a straight line for 1/4 mile >smile.gif>
talking about civics??

Street racing hmmm a sensitive topic, no matter what kind of import sport car you drive everyone is going to suspect you of doing it, its only natural and its because of those gay movies F&F and 2F2F. I street race, not often but I do, and I dont do it in the day time (i've learned my lesson on that) and I dont do it in a populated area thats just stupid. We treat it like an actuall drag race, which I do at Bristol with my muscle cars (but thats not important). Street racing is fine in my book as long as you do it safely and if you take the conciquences(sp) like a man, namely getting caught and getting fined and such. Just my opinion dont hang me for it.

Do people actually street race for the thrill of being chased? I mean, if so then they're not really "racers" they're people who want to get on jackass. And the more badass ones would drive crappier cars so there'd be even more thrill.
If you're going to race at least do it because you love your car, love your tuning, and love to drive...
you know what...i do race occasionly....i got busted for it last summer and did my time and blamed it on no one but myself. the judge went easy on me becaue it was 3:30 in the morning and there where no other cars out and you know what there is not thill greater then blowing through those gears chriping tires and the look on the kids face your blowing by. Why else would you do it but for the rush you get. Make fun of me all you want, whatever. its all opinion. Just be safe, smart, and have fun.
I only have one comment for you people that say that racing in the highway or elsewhere after midnight is safe.

YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

There could always be some kind of danger for you and others. Some sleepy/drunk drivers, small night animals or whatever. Just a few weeks ago there was a hit and run near my house. An old guy could not sleep and went to cross the road at 4 am to get cigarettes from a 24hr market. some kids that were racing because they thought it was safe killed that guy and destroyed their future because they thought it was safe. Racing is never safe even in the track. But at least in the track you do not put other people in danger.
I bet those honda's would of beat you if they had a Type-R sticker on their cars =)
HAHAHA
I'm with neoklis. Street racing never really is safe.

And I don't promote street racing anymore. I used to do it sometimes, but never anymore.

A while ago my good friend's friend died in a street racing wreck. She was the passenger in one car, and one car lost control, hit the other car, and the car wrapped around a telephone poll. >frown.gif>

New Toyota project coming soon...
something can and usually does happen no matter where and what you race. the difference is when its sanctionized, they are set for the worse, you have to have medical people on site, and they have enough people arround to help you out if something drastic happened. where as on the street, if your car flips or you are in trouble, theres nothing stopping the other guy from taking off and you are SOL.
