I have the OBX 93-97 Corolla 7AFE header on my car, the HP header also seems popular. I had to have a pipe custom made at a muffler shop to connect the header to the stock exhaust, cost me $40. Since you have a '97, you will probably need to retain the stock secondary cat or get a performance converter welded into the custom piping, as well as have an O2 sensor boss welded in for the 2nd O2 sensor. If you don't, you will have a CEL.

Hopefully someone with an OBD2 ('96 and up) Celica will chime in with what they had to do in order to install the header.
where did you get your OBX header?
look on ebay. Just search for "93 corolla" and you will find tons of headers, probably going to be mostly HP (Focuz) headers but just read the how to on header installation. I am pretty sure it will be the same process regardless of the brand.
I have the Forza Tuning ('93-'97 Corolla) Header (identical to OBX one) for my '97 ST.
Although I haven't put it on yet, from what I can see, I need to do the following:
1 - lengthen the header pipe to fit to the cat. (I have an OBX high-flow cat);
2 - modify the header pipe mounting bracket where it fits just before the cat.;
3 - get a bolt-in flange type 02 sensor and lengthen the original 02 sensor wires.

Here's the link to the "how-To":

how much horse power will we actually see with a hi flo cat and new header
two, maybe three. probably...
That's what most others see. (others being other small engined imports that I just looked up in Import Tuners "power pages"

How much low end horsepower and torque is lost in order to gain the 2 or 3 top end horsepower?
well, considering all the ST's from other countries have this kind of header, I don't think it'll be a problem.
