gt4 1/4 time - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #1030 19 posts Started by celicagt69
what do the 3 gen gt4 run above sea level
sea level? Why does that matter

I would say it depends on how much boost. If it has tires or not. And if they are aired up. J/k Depends on the driver plus the mods. But I would say about 13 secs or 14secs. That's just an estimate. I'm really not sure. I have never seen a gt-4 in real life. Nor driven one.
I think I remember hearing 6.6 to 60 in the 5th gen. Sounds a little high though for an AWD 200hp sub 3000 pound car.
3rd gen? no clue...can't be too great though, since the GT4 seemed to have gotten faster in time
elevation matters, because the density of air changes at various altitudes.

do you mean 3rd gen g4 or a gt4 with a 3rd gen 3sgte?
he said 3rd gen gt4 and obviously that would have the 3rd gen 3sgte. But i see what you mean. Maybe a st202 or 165,204 etc. with a 3rd gen 3sgte.

Again I would probaby the same as before. I bet around 5-6 seconds for 0-60

Are they heavier than that? I really have no idea since I'm not a fifth gen guy, but I would've guessed that, simply because my car weighs under 2400 lbs. from the factory. >wink.gif>

Edit: I just did some quick research, and it looks like the fifth gen Alltrac Turbo weighs 3219 lbs. >wink.gif> It looks to me like all of the sixth gens lost some weight from the fifth generation, because my ST coupe weighs 251 lbs. less than a fifth generation ST coupe.

New Toyota project coming soon...
Man, I had no clue they weighed that much. They were a little fat weren't they.
sorry guys i ment what does the st205 run in the 1/4 i heard it runs mide 14's
mine ran a 13.46 on 16 inch tires with just intake, irudium plugs, nology wires, HKS cam gear and a custom exhuast. didn't have a chance to run it after the HKS cam shafts and some of the other stuff.. will run it agian at the local track this summer and let you guys know what it runs with the new stuff I am doing.

If I can find the time slip for that run I will scan it and post it here

99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =)
with the 3's and Front wheel drive?
13's sound really low
think about it, sure it has AWD, but the MR2 has close to same power...midship engine, with rear wheel drive...it hits 15's stock
i'd imagine that a GT4 should run 15's too
it's a bigger car, with a big more power, and of course more weight

the main idea is that is has a much greater potential than a ST or GT
the mr2 runs 14's stock with less hp then the gt4 so the gt4 should run mid 14's
I'll just go get on grand turismo and time it. >tongue.gif>

Question: Do Supras(93-99) run 13s stock without basic setup?

NEVERSTOP, I think you could hit high 12's with that setup if you try again. It's possible.

Consynx, Mr2 is designed to be as a drag car so its handling isn't as good Celicas....think about it. As far as my guess I'm pretty sure that stock GT-4(6th gen) could run mid 14's stock.

I didn't think you had the AWD working yet?
