I put in a new slave prior to putting the clutch in. I put another slave in prior to pulling the transmission the second time. I also rebuilt the clutch master cylinder. Any other ideas?

Is it correct to say that if the master or slave cylinder were bad, the cause would be a leak? I am not sure how else one of these could fail.
