You answered your own post. Yes you can strip the RCAs and connect them to the harness. The harness should accept low-level signals, like the ones from the RCA cord.

The factory recomended(sp?) oil is 75w90. And as far as pouring the oil, it's much easier with a 'beer bong' type funnel.

Looking good. Only thing I'd change would be a little darker blue and paint the door sills. If you use several layers of clear on the sills, they won't scuff too badly.

The AC controls are a pain because of the two wires connected to the back of the temp control. Can't really help you there, they are a pain in the @.
