That 3S-GE is a 1st gen 135HP with T-VIS. And he's wrong about the swap. You do need the 3S-GE ECU and wiring harness for that engine.

Either go aftermarket or find a BEAMS manifold. The ECU of the 3rd gen 3S-GTE wouldn't be able to control the T-VIS/ACIS of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen 3S-GE's intake manifolds.

Ever bothered taking a look at the intake and exhaust manifolds of a Blacktop 3S-GE? Also the Altezza engines sit straight in the engine bay while the Celica/MR2 engines sit tilted.
