im pretty sure it is the fuse, looking at the fuse panel with the fuses on the left, relays on the right, the fuse your looking for should be the 2nd along, on the bottom row. 15 amp.

if you get 2 subs, therefore effectively doubling the power, you should gain about 3dB, given the best conditions. its not really noticeable. i have two subs mainly because I got them for a great deal...

the kicker cvrs pump hard, as do the kicker mono amps (400.1 or 600.1) i have 2 12" cvrs in a sealed box, 600.1 amp. pumps really hard.

a lot of light dimming issues can be fixed with a better battery, better grounding. a lot of car audio people i know call caps a 'band aid' solution.
