The rear quarter does come off. You just have to cut your old one off and weld in the new one and re-seam-seal it. You can buy a rear quarter from your dealer for about $6-700 each.

If you were concerned about boost before, probably not that great of an idea to do a 5sfte. Its a lot more high maintenance than a factory motor, either one you go with. Just my $0.02 .
