The only advantage i see the newer ones having is that they are lighter... or should be for that matter
but the Newer celicas do have more HP then the older ones of the same type(GT, ST ect...)

Well i know you can import a GT-4 in to the US so why would you not beable to change out the interior doesnt make much sence to me if you can do one but not the other.

Is it posible to take a US version of the GT and swap the interior out for an over seas verion (so the driver is on the right side of the car).
