I had a 4AGE 20v Black Top with 180 - 190HP.
I was very disappointed with the VW w/ its specs.
The car to my understanding is detune.
It ca...

Chips are a waste of time.
True performance gain can be had from piggy back computers like Apexi SAFC and new ECU's like Tec #, Motec 4, Autronics SM2

Do you drive fast or race?
If so, you might want to increase pipe size from engine to the cat to the same size pipe on the greddy.
If you can do that first, that would be nice.
With your new exhuast a...

Specs range from 160HP and up.
These engines are better suited for you car than the 7g celi.
The 3SGE is over 175hp.
All of these can get to the 200 mark very easy with essential mods.

It would be better to go with a 4AGZE or 4AGE 20V swap.
If not, go with a 3SGE swap from toysport.

There is no need to. charlie.
Hp and torque is there.
I think that the 4age 20v comes with 236 or 244 cams while the 3SGE have low cam profile.

I agreed with Charlie on this one.
You see, if you had the 3SGE swap in you car, I would tell you to go for it.
I do not know, but there is a 7AGE which is a 4AGE head on a 7AFE block.
Research that.
