I don't know what tyre brands are easy to get over there but any semi slick will do a better job than just a ridiculously expensive all rounder, only get about 10-20 000km's out of them if you're luck...

Those Firestones are pretty average compared to RE001's, I'm not arguing a GT4 is close to a FWD Celica but I just think 50kph faster through a slow corner is a bit exaggerated, although saying that I...

40-50kph faster is a BIG difference, especially on a corner where 60kph is pushing it. I may not have driven an ST205 but I've driven a couple of wrx's including an STI with semis and other awd's and ...

Yeah could be mounts too, forgot about that. Just to let you know, inner cv's are the ones that clunk, if the boots there are torn then its most likely that, outer cv's clunk on corners and do the not...

Lol I thought my rattle was bad, does sound like exhaust, hold a piece of wood on parts of it and if it stops then thats it! or alternately look over it and see if any bolts are loose.

Welcome to the forum! All you can try is a tune up! is it misfiring at all?
Tune up is spark plugs, leads, distributor cap, rotor and a fuel filter couldn't hurt.
