yeah theres this metal ring that keeps you from sliding the sleave down. So you have to grind part of that down so that you can get the sleave all the way down.

Or you could just disconect the wire that says the ebrake is on or not. Its real easy to undue it. Just take off the center console and you should be able to see the black wire that is near the ebrake...
