speaking from experience...in my 97 ST i ran premium gas...caused WAYYYYY too much carbon build up and deposits on the exhaust...and hurt my gas mileage too...I think it's a waste of money without adv...

my engine does basically the same thing...mine is burning oil on take off...leaves a nice puff of smoke then it never puffs again really except for the occasional puff on changing gears if i'm running...
