well it can only be either no spark or no fuel. check your coil wire connection. It cranks so it's pretty much getting power. i dont see this as a fuel problem since it just ran fine the other day....

the only other time ive seen this happen before was when my friend didnt have his spark plugs tightened and it kept blowing the wires off. or maybe your wires could just be loose as well.

Well the octane shouldn't really affect mpg, our cars (and i mean N/A models) should run better on 87 or 89 than it would on 91 or higher. The only difference in the octane rating is how resistant it...
