The power difference is quite amazing! Easily comparable to an ST205 - in fact the cheap mitsubishi 14b turbo I'm using seems to spool faster and harder then the ct20b.

I've done the 3SGE + T conversion. I swapped over the stock turbo pistons to run higher boost. As compared to the cost of a 3rd gen 3SGTE front clip, I think its a comparable option.
