No need to run the engine, the drain on the heat exchanger is the lowest point on the system. Only a glass of coolant gets left behind

I've had oil flow past the pressure sensor before. Lots of it. I'm assuming you have a t fitting that sends oil pressure to your after market gauge and to your stock idiot light. I would check there. ...
